Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Kahii Cafe & Resto, a delightful spot nestled in the heart of Makassar, Indonesia, at Jl. Botolempangan No.53. This charming cafe offers a unique blend of ambiance, aesthetic charm, and culinary exploration that captures the essence of a social gathering space. From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped by a vibrant atmosphere that's both cozy and stylish, designed to appeal to the contemporary diner.

Kahii Cafe & Resto is making waves with its trendy interior, reminiscent of beloved cafes found in Seoul. The design reflects a modern aesthetic paired with comfortable seating, making it an ideal place to unwind with friends or engage in a casual meeting. It's no wonder patrons like Nurul Rahayu rave about its "good vibes to chill" and the comforting flavor of their Matcha Latte. However, a word of advice: if you plan to visit on weekends or during holidays, make sure to secure a reservation. Customers have shared stories of long waits, yet many find that the cozy waiting area makes the experience more bearable.

The menu at Kahii offers an eclectic array of dishes, with snacks taking center stage. Piter Halim highlights the impressive portion sizes of their fries and the satisfying fried dumplings, creating a perfect starter for any gathering. However, while some main dishes have received mixed reviews—like the overly simple chicken salad—others, such as their spaghetti and Makassar style fried rice, have delighted the taste buds. Diners have also praised specialty drinks like the Matcha Strawberry and Matcha Pistachio, which are perfect for those looking to refresh and re-energize.

Kahii Cafe & Resto is part of a collaborative culinary space that includes brands like Twlve Bakehouse and Sediakala Collective. This concept brings a delightful variety to the dining experience, offering everything from baked goods to unique photography spots within the cafe. The inclusion of a photobooth is a fun touch, particularly appealing to Gen Z visitors who love capturing memories in aesthetic settings, as noted by customer b khusnul ayulisa.

One cannot overlook the slight conundrum of space in this popular locale; the dining area can become quite cramped, leading to patrons standing in hallways. Despite this, the potential of Kahii is undeniable. With its reasonable pricing and creative offerings, the cafe has garnered a dedicated following and is certainly worth checking out at least once—preferably with a reservation in hand to avoid the wait!

In conclusion, Kahii Cafe & Resto stands out as a vibrant and increasingly popular gem in Makassar’s bustling food scene. Whether you're in for a casual snack, a delightful drink, or a cozy gathering with friends, this cafe encapsulates the modern dining experience. Don't miss out on their recommendations; who knows, you might just find your new favorite spot!

Visitor Testimonials (330)

Place with good vibes to chill or meet up with friends I like it's Matcha Latte. I recommend to make reservation especially in weekend or holiday. Last time I went (in holiday), I waited about 1 hour.. But It didn't matter because the waiting place (in front of reception) is quite comfortable..

This new cafe is giving me the Korean vibes, the design, interior, settings, quite resemblance of places we've just visited recently in Seoul. For the food I think the snacks rules! the fries portion quite big, the fried dumpling fat and fulfilling , the drinks which are matcha strawberry and matcha pistachio were really good, very recommended So why I'm giving the food rating only 4 stars? Well sorry to say, I don't quite enjoy the chicken salad which just a simple breaded fried chicken and lettuce on top. It's just too simple, -while I prefer to have more veggies components in the dish- hopefully they can upgrade this menu in future. The other menu : spaghetti and Makassar style fried rice were somehow quite nice. One major thing to consider is book a reservation before coming since the dining area is not too spacey to handle many visitors.

Had a chance to visit Kahii on their opening day. NGL, the vibes is pretty good. But the food is not that legit. For the price? I'm pretty sure many place are better with that price. The concept on collectively collab with different brand and vary industries there's twlve bakery, suafoto, and sediakala collective make the place pretty cool. Good luck \m/

Had our 1st experience really bad when it was day 2 of the opening, we couldn’t get any seats because we didn’t RSVP. Went the 2nd time prepared by RSVP-ing and we got seats the second we are in within 5 mins. I highly recommend trying this place at least once, but book in advance or you’ll be waiting hours before u got any table. This cafe is within a compound space, the Alfred, so you’ll see Twlve Bakehouse, Sediakala Collective, and Suafoto inside. Highly recommended menu are the Pistachio Sea Salt Matcha from Kahii and Brulee Cheesecake + Tiramisu from Twlve. Pricing is quite reasonable for the place but also a bit on the $$ side. Minus, the place is really small and people are standing in the hallways so don’t come in big crowds.

very Gen Z for the ambience that is comfy, aesthetic, and full of great photo spots. the main dishes could be better, but I think the focus is more on other items. The menu has a good variety, including appetizers, desserts, and drinks. A nice plus is the photobooth. I’d definitely come back again.

A cozy café with delicious food and drinks. The packaging is also aesthetic and thoughtfully designed. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy some quality treats! It can get very crowded and feel a bit cramped on weekends, so it’s best to come early if you prefer a quieter atmosphere.

4th times ke sini and everything was good. The service ⭐5. Keep it up

Another on of the best cafe kick out of the city. Delicious foods, great ambience and excellent atmosphere. Very recommended
